Colorado Bound
Sunday morning we will once again venture off on a road trip across the country. This time around our destination is Colorado Springs, CO for the USA Roller Sports Outdoor Nationals and USA World Team Trials. Chelsea will be skating the Freshmen Girls division and Courtney will be skating the Junior Women division. Courtney will be competing for a place on the USA Junior World Team.
The Beginning
If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten. Anthony Robbins
As the summer ends, our new skating season begins. It is a time for change. This year the girls are not taking any time off. We came back from our last competition of the year, NIRA Nationals, on 9/6 and the girls skated the first indoor practice of the season on 9/7.
As usual, as we reflect over the past season, we see the need to tweak and change our training plan. We hope to eliminate some of the issues we had last season. One thing the girls unanimously decided was to head back into the gym. They both were excited to get back to the basics and work on conditioning and improving their core strength.
Road Rash – Take Two
The Road Trip
It is that time of year again! We will be hopping into the Suburban and heading North to Lincoln, NE in less than two weeks. I can’t believe how quickly the last year flew by. The trip is about 1550 miles and it will take us a little bit over 24 hours.
Courtney’s New Skates
Courtney had a surprise waiting for her when she got home yesterday. She has skated two practices in her new Pinnacle boots and her feet are feeling great!
